I was on a ferry ride in the Seattle Puget Sound when sunset caught this tree-filled promontory. I was struck by how the warm oranges, reds, and lavenders of the sunset were mirrored in the inviting lights of the nearby houses. The purple of the hills is reflected into the Sound itself, and this charming view, like the sunset that highlighted it, passed smoothly and quickly by as we journeyed on.
